Libertad de expresión y derechos intelectuales en el uso de la imagen en las nuevas formas de la crítica de arte (Copyright)

Este encuentro en línea con especialistas, curadores y críticos de arte, permitirá explorar los desafíos en materia de libertad de expresión para el ejercicio de la crítica libre e independiente en democracias y regímenes autoritarios de la América Latina y el Caribe, así como las restricciones a la libertad ejercidas por el uso legal de la imagen protegidas por derechos de autor.

Este webinario organizado por AICA Regional América Latina es el tercero del presente año con participación de las secciones nacionales que representa. El espacio ha sido diseñado para el análisis y la discusión abierta entre público y especialistas de un tema que afecta seriamente la libertad de expresión del crítico de arte. Este tercer webinario de la serie se llevará a cabo el próximo martes 25 de noviembre a las 17:00 h (hora de São Paulo, Brasil) y a las 14:00 h (hora de Costa Rica), con ponentes de Argentina, Venezuela, Caribe Sur y Costa Rica.

Freedom of Expression and Intellectual Property Rights in the Use of Images in New Forms of Art Criticism (Copyright)

This online seminar brings together specialists, curators, and art critics to examine challenges to freedom of expression and the practice of independent criticism in both democratic and authoritarian contexts in Latin America and the Caribbean. It will also address legal restrictions arising from the use of copyrighted images.

Organized by AICA Regional Latin America, this is the third webinar this year with participation from its national sections. The event is structured for analysis and open discussion between the public and invited experts on a topic that significantly affects art critics’ freedom of expression.

The webinar will take place on Tuesday, November 25, at 5:00 p.m. (São Paulo, Brazil time) and 2:00 p.m. (Costa Rica time), with speakers from Argentina, Venezuela, the Southern Caribbean, and Costa Rica.
