Open Call for Projects 2026

Dear Colleagues,

We are very pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 edition of the AICA International Open Call for Projects. Following a proposal by the Board and the decision taken at the General Assembly held in December 2021, AICA International provides support for projects carried out jointly by at least two national sections.

PROJECT AREAS

  • Explore current art criticism and its challenges

  • Contribute to the vitality of international exchanges between sections

  • Promote significant critical approaches: promote eminent figures who are not widely visible internationally or, conversely, promote a younger generation of critics

  • Defend freedom of expression

CRITERIA

Applications are eligible if the project meets the following cumulative conditions:

  • The project must be based on collaboration and carried out by at least two national sections.

  • The project must take place within one year of notification of its selection by the Board.

  • The project must involve an event (webinar, conference, symposium, etc.).

  • The funding plan must include other resources and partners.

AMOUNT OF THE GRANT

Within the overall budget of 16,000 euros, each successful project will receive a maximum of 2,000 euros.

SELECTION

Projects will be submitted to a vote by the Board, scheduled for 22 May 2026.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 19 April 2026

Proposals must be submitted by the presidents of national sections in PDF format and sent to the AICA International Secretariat at: aica.office@gmail.com
